About

I am an inveterate gamer, an insatiable reader, and an intermittent (and occasionally, thanks to writers’ block, inconsolable) writer living in the northeastern US.

“A Butterfly Dreaming” is derived from a Zen Buddhist parable of sorts, ascribed to the famous philosopher Zhuangzi.  Loosely, it goes something like this…

Once while Zhuangzi slept, he dreamed that he was a butterfly, happily flying around without a care.  Suddenly he awakened, and he found that he was a man.  But upon reflection, he couldn’t be certain whether he was a man who had dreamt he was a butterfly, or a butterfly dreaming that he was a man.
